Purpose
You will be responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of software solutions (applications / systems) to support business processes. This mainly for the order processing, network administration, service provisioning and billing systems in the Telecom and Internet industry.
This is a very exciting opportunity to be part of an experienced and proactive team, supporting big customers to implement its requirements, sometimes to very tight deadlines.
You must have demonstrable experience in software implementation from a developer perspective. You are personally passionate and up to date with current trends and technologies, committed to quality. You speak and write English fluently, Dutch is a pre. You should thrive in a pressured environment.
Responsibilities
- Translate functional requirements into appropriate design in consultation with the customer
- Independent software solutions (applications / systems) based on design
- Test the built software solutions together with the customer
- Transfer of software solutions to operational organization
Profile
- Academic level
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in designing and building software solutions
- Essential experiences:
• Experience of PHP 5 (preferable 5.3+)
• Solid grasp of Object Orientated principles
• Solid grasp of MySQL - SQL techniques, Views, Events, Triggers, etc.
• LAMP, WAMP, XAMPP
• XHTML, XML, CSS
• Web services (SOAP/REST)
• Experience of source code management systems such as SVN
•
- Demonstrable experience in:
• CMS Experience – Wordpress, Drupal, Typo3, Terminal4, Joomla, etc
• Frameworks: Zend, Silex, Symphony2, Yii, CakePHP, etc.
• Linux/apache administration, linux command line
• Setting up cron jobs and scheduled tasks
• cURL
• Javascript/ JQuery
• Experience with Build/ Deployment Servers
• Search solutions (Google, Coveo, Lucene/Solr etc)
• SSH
- Familiar with Agile and Scrum method with sprints, releases, user stories, etc.
- Most important is that you are intelligent, passionate about PHP and are always looking to learn and improve your skills.
